Donald Hand Jr Collection: The Ankle Breaker

Donald Hand Jr. is a redshirt sophomore basketball player at Boston College in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Accomplishments with BC include reaching double figures seven times, including season high 16 points off the bench against Central Connecticut State and his season-high 26 minutes against The Citadel, with 14 points, four rebounds, and two steals in win.

The 6’5 combo guard was a state champion, 3-time All-State selection, and McDonald’s All-American game nominee at Landstown High School in Virginia Beach, VA where he is the school’s all-time leading scorer.

As a senior in Landstown, Hand was named the 2022 Virginia Class 6 Player of the Year after averaging 25 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists per game.

As a junior, Hand led the state in scoring, averaging 33 points per game and was a 1st team All-State selection. He played grassroots basketball with Team Loaded Virginia and was an ESPN Top 100 recruit.

Hand is pursuing a degree in Communications. He is the son of Mckeesha Robinson, an attorney, and Donald Hand Sr., a three-year captain at the University of Virginia (1997-2001) who is Top 5 all-time at the school in assists and steals.

His father is his inspiration for wearing #13. Hand’s favorite player is Kobe Bryant, and he lists his parents as his life’s greatest influence.
